LY Lawyers Sponsors MMA Event

LY Lawyers are proud corporate sponsors of “Gladiators Cage Fighting Australia”, a Mixed Martial Arts (also known as “MMA”) event at the St. Mary’s Band Club on 5 April 2014.

MMA is the fasting growing sport in the world, mixing many traditional martial arts disciplines with more contemporary styles. It is widely being regarded as challenging boxing as the most popular of combat sports.

The major organisation promoting MMA is the “UFC”, otherwise known as the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

In Australia, we are seeing major growth in the sport, with popular UFC fighters Mark Hunt, James Te Huna, Anthony Perosh and Robert Whittaker helping the sports popularity.

Despite what most people think, MMA is not just a violent, mindless meeting of two men, with the aim of hurting each other. MMA teaches respect for your opponent, controlled agression and discipline.

We here at LY Lawyers hope to continue supporting the sport here in Australia. It is often an outlet for troubled young men to change their ways, getting them off the streets and into the gym. It is a positive direction for youths to adopt the principles and values that MMA promotes.

We intend to continue to support Gladiators Cage Fighting, in partnership with BeeStingz gym and the sport of MMA in Australia itself.
